Chicken Teriyaki
Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken breast
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Rice (for serving)
Instructions
1. Start by marinating the chicken in a mixture of soy sauce, mirin, and sugar for at least 30 minutes.
2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, add the marinated chicken and cook until browned on both sides.
3. Pour the remaining marinade into the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens and the chicken is cooked through.
4. Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
5. Serve the sliced chicken over rice and drizzle with the thickened teriyaki sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
