Classic Swiss Rösti
Ingredients
- 500 g Potatoes
- 2 tbsp Butter or oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
1. Start by peeling the potatoes and then grate them using a coarse grater.
2. Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture.
3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
4. Once hot, add the grated potatoes to the skillet, spreading them evenly.
5. Cook for about 10-15 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
6. Carefully flip the rösti using a plate or a large spatula, adding more butter or oil if needed.
7. Cook the other side for another 10-15 minutes until it is also golden brown.
8. Once cooked, transfer to a serving plate and season with salt and pepper to taste.
