Classic Tiramisu
Ingredients
- 300 ml Strong brewed coffee
- 3 large Egg yolks
- 100 g Sugar
- 250 g Mascarpone cheese
- 300 ml Heavy cream
- 200 g Ladyfingers
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
1. Brew strong coffee and let it cool.
2. In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
3. Add mascarpone cheese to the egg mixture and gently fold until smooth.
4. In another bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
5. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
6. Dip ladyfingers quickly into the cooled coffee and layer them in a dish.
7. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
8. Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
10. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
