Palak Paneer
Ingredients
- 500 g Spinach
- 200 g Paneer
- 1 onion , chopped
- 2 Tomatoes , chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 2 tbsp Cream
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Start by washing the spinach thoroughly and blanching it in boiling water for 2 minutes.
2. Drain the spinach and immediately transfer it to ice-cold water to retain its vibrant color.
3. Once cooled, blend the spinach into a smooth puree and set aside.
4. In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, allowing them to sizzle.
5. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
6. Incorporate ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute until fragrant.
7. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
8. Add turmeric, red chili powder, and garam masala, mixing well.
9. Pour in the spinach puree and simmer for a few minutes.
10. Gently fold in cubed paneer and cook for another 5 minutes.
11. Finish with a splash of cream and adjust seasoning before serving.
