Chili con Carne
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 onion , chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 500 g Ground beef
- 1 bell Pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Salt
- 400 g Diced tomatoes
- 400 g Kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Instructions
1. In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent.
2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for a minute until fragrant.
3. Add ground beef to the pot, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned.
4. Mix in chopped bell peppers and cook for a few minutes until softened.
5. Sprinkle in chili powder, cumin, and salt, stirring to combine.
6. Pour in diced tomatoes and kidney beans, then bring the mixture to a simmer.
7. Reduce heat to low and let it cook for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving hot.
