Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef (sliced thinly)
  • 200 g Broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Ginger (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Start by marinating the beef in soy sauce, cornstarch, and a bit of oil for about 30 minutes.

2. While the beef is marinating, prepare the broccoli by blanching it in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until bright green, then drain and set aside.

3. Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat and add oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, which should take about 3-4 minutes.

4. Add minced garlic and ginger to the beef, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.

5. Toss in the blanched broccoli and stir everything together, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.

6. Pour in oyster sauce and a splash of water, stirring to combine. Cook for another minute to heat through.

7. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
