Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients

  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • 200 g Yogurt
  • 1 Lemon
  • 2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Coriander
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 400 g Canned tomatoes
  • 100 ml Cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

1. Start by marinating the chicken pieces in yogurt, lemon juice, and spices for at least 1 hour.

2. Preheat the oven to a high temperature and thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.

3. Bake the chicken in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until cooked through and slightly charred.

4. In a large pan, heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown.

5. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for a few minutes until fragrant.

6. Stir in the spices and cook for another minute before adding tomatoes and simmering for 10 minutes.

7. Incorporate the cooked chicken into the sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

8. Finish by stirring in cream and adjusting seasoning to taste. Serve hot with rice or naan.
