Kartoffelpuffer

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 100 g Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

1. Start by peeling and grating the potatoes into a large bowl.

2. Squeeze out excess moisture from the grated potatoes using a clean kitchen towel.

3. In a separate bowl, combine the grated potatoes with the flour, eggs, salt, and pepper until well mixed.

4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

5. Spoon the potato mixture into the hot oil, flattening each portion slightly.

6. Fry until golden brown on one side, then flip and cook the other side until crispy.

7. Remove the puffer from the pan and drain on paper towels.

8. Serve hot with applesauce or sour cream.
