Lentil Carrot Puree for Baby
Ingredients
- 100g lentils
- 2 medium carrots
- 500ml water
Instructions
1. Rinse the lentils under cold water until the water runs clear.
2. In a pot, combine the lentils and water, then bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until the lentils are tender.
3. While the lentils are cooking, peel and chop the carrots into small pieces.
4. Add the carrots to the pot with the lentils and continue to cook for another 10-15 minutes until the carrots are soft.
5. Drain any excess water from the pot, then transfer the lentils and carrots to a blender or food processor.
6. Blend until smooth, adding a little water if necessary to achieve the desired consistency.
7. Allow the puree to cool before serving it to your baby.
