Omnia Semolina Cake
Ingredients
- 200g semolina
- 150g sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 200g yogurt
- 3 eggs
- 100g melted butter
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine semolina, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the dry ingredients.
2. In another bowl, whisk together yogurt, eggs, and melted butter until smooth. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until fully combined.
3. Fold in the grated lemon zest and vanilla extract for added flavor.
4. Grease the Omnia baking pan with a little butter or oil to prevent sticking.
5. Pour the batter into the greased Omnia pan, spreading it evenly.
6. Place the pan in the Omnia base, ensuring it fits snugly around the central chimney.
7. Cover the Omnia with its red domed lid, ensuring it is secure.
8. Place the Omnia on a gas burner set to low-medium heat. Allow it to cook for approximately 30-35 minutes, checking occasionally to ensure it is baking evenly.
9. Once the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, remove the Omnia from the heat.
10. Let the cake cool for a few minutes before carefully removing it from the pan. Serve warm or at room temperature.
