Omnia Walnut Raisin Bread
Ingredients
- 500g flour
- 7g dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 300ml warm water
- 100g walnuts, chopped
- 100g raisins
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well to combine.
2. Add warm water and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
3. Incorporate chopped walnuts and raisins into the dough, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
4. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with a cloth and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
5. Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf. Place the loaf in the Omnia baking pan, ensuring it fits well around the central chimney.
6. Cover the Omnia with its red domed lid and place it on a low-medium heat burner.
7. Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, checking occasionally to ensure it is not burning. The bread is done when it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
8. Remove the Omnia from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes before carefully taking out the bread.
